My Swingin' Cool pickups have tight lows, smooth mids, and just the
right amount of high end.
I wind them just a touch hotter than most stock pickups so that they
will have enough juice to send your amp into overdrive without the use
of lots of effects pedals. Great for the modern guitarist that
still wants to hold onto that classic edge. In the bridge you can
dig in for those classic leads and in the neck it's mellow and
smooth.
These come calibrated for vintage tone on modern guitars
which means I use flush poles and demagnetize (degauss) the magnets slightly
for that aged alnico sound. The pickups are potted with my own special
shellac mixture that helps to further replicate the tone of vintage alnico
and well as adding more texture to the tone which helps your guitar sound
more alive. |
