I modified the bobbins on my Swingin' Cool so that I could tie two of them together and make a humbucker.  The way I see it, this has two advantages.  First, is that method cuts out the mud so you can have clear, bright humbucker tones from a high output pickup.  Second, is that you can switch off one of the coils (it's called coil splitting) and  have a real single coil pickup.  People have been splitting coils on their pickups for years but because of the way humbuckers are built they sounded dead in single coil mode.  The problems have been solved and now you can have a humbucker and single coils all in the same pickup. Click here to order

It's a modified Smooth Groove and a modified Swingin' Cool tied together to make a humbucker.  Like the 2Face, you can switch between humbucker and true single coil modes, but because one coil is formvar and the other isn't, it means that with some creative wiring you can also switch between which single coil you are using.  Get real vintage '50s single coil tone, or get modern single coil tone.
