A high output set that uses special gauge formvar wire.  This pickup was designed for all those people that want classic strat tone but also want to sound good with face melting distortion and stupid amounts of gain.  These still have all the high end sparkle of my other smooth groove pickups but they also have a thick midrange and the bass is slightly compressed which gives you a tighter sound with better definition and it prevents the unpleasant "buzzsaw" distortion that that is so common from strat pickups when you really turn up the gain.  This an ideal choice for people that want a smooth 50's vibe but want thick defined leads at the same time.

These come calibrated for optimal balance and performance on guitars with modern fretboard radiuses. This means I use flush poles and demagnetize (degauss) the magnets slightly for that aged alnico sound.  The pickups are potted with my own special shellac mixture that helps to further replicate the tone of vintage alnico and well as adding more texture to the tone which helps your guitar sound more alive.
