Neodymium gives you the grit and complexity you would expect from alnico and it combines it with the treble and bass boost you would expect from ceramic magnets.  The tone sounds very hifi and the natural eq is like turning the bass and treble right up to 10 and then pushing the bass boost button for an extra wide frequency response.  The tone from this pickup is seriously huge, incredibly unique, and anything but vintage.

When driving your amp this pickup has very quick attack and is really aggressive. When you roll back the volume on your guitar the pickup has a nice chime that almost sound acoustic. Shredders love this pickup but it's also popular for metal, jazz, country, ska, and alternative.

Because Neodymium is so strong, these pickups need to be adjusted much further from the strings than regular humbuckers which can be very handy for people that find their pickups getting in the way of their strumming.
