Heritage Humbucker pickups all use AlNiCo V magnets for classic grit and
warmth, but unlike traditional humbuckers my Heritage line are hand wound for
added color and depth, and come with your choice of braided 2 conductor or 4
conductor hookup wire.
Cool Heritage HH-C
$110 or £55 each
This is a modern interpretation of a PAF. It's got a wide open, classic tone
that works well for all types of music. To add harmonic content to the
pickup and give it more attitude I do not pot these pickups. That means I
have to be extra careful when I wind them, but it's also what makes these really
come alive.
Smooth Heritage HH-S $110 or £55 each
Similar to the Cool Heritage but it's wound with
Formvar wire. This pickup is very smooth and bright with slightly scooped
mids which helps it to retain its clarity even when you are really driving the
amp. I particularly like this pickup in the neck because it lets you get rid of
the muddiness typical of the neck position but without loosing the warmth.
Nickel cover
(+)-NC $25 or £13
Nickel covers shield the pickups so you get less background noise. They
also change the tone so that it sounds darker and less defined. This can be good for lots of classic rock, blues,
and jazz, but it's not so good if you want to play shred.
Warm Heritage HH-W $110 or £55 each
The same construction and materials as the Cool Heritage but it's got more
heat. This means it drives your amp better, has more mid-range and more
harmonics for
people that just have to have it. This works well in the
bridge with a Cool or Smooth Heritage in the neck. Potting to control
microphonics is optional for $5 or £3 each
